Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
The individual will be responsible for providing independent maintenance support throughout the Newark Quartz facility. Primary duties will include day to day trouble shooting of equipment, execution of preventive maintenance, and system modifications/installations. Successful candidate will be skilled in electrical, electronic, mechanical maintenance; installation of equipment; and inspection and assembly of special tools and equipment. This position requires sound interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments.

Experience Required:
Qualified candidates should possess complete general maintenance skills and experience with emphasis on industrial controls technology, including: GE Fanuc PLC programming, knowledge of proficy controls program, PC experience using Windows 2000 or NT, AC/DC drives, process instrumentation, analog and digital electronics, knowledge of engineered design drawing, SCR rectification, feedback control, NEC, control panel wiring, general machinist skills, welding, pipefitting and pneumatics. Training and experience in NFPA 70E application.

Equipment Used:
Electrical instruments, personal computers, electronic test equipment, hand tools, machine tools, welders, pressure and vacuum gages, special fixtures, lift trucks, cranes, and other appropriate machining and maintenance tools.

Note:
Candidates will be required to take a written technical assessment test to screen for applicable competency.

Candidates meeting requirements will be required to participate in on-site team interviews.

Successful candidates will begin at the appropriate pay classification per the NQP Progression Policy.

Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· Minimum: High School diploma
· Preferred: 2 year electronics/electrician or equivalent

Required Work Experience:
· 7 years in industrial/manufacturing environment
