Job Title: Millwright

Job Summary: The millwright will complete required PM and repairs on the client’s facility equipment.  This position will be crossed trained and utilize a “flow to the work” concept.  The successful technician will be an excellent communicator and have exceptional follow up capabilities.  The technician will exhibit an ownership attitude. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

  • Dismantles facility related machines.

  • Moves machinery and equipment.

  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.

  • Constructs foundation for machines.

  • Aligns machines and equipment.

  • Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.

  • Operates engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.

  • Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.

  • Performs Preventive Maintenance on Facility related equipment as assigned by supervisor.

  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager


  • Apprenticeship; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; two to five total years of experience - preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Fork truck operator’s license, JLG operator’s license - preferred

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions operating and maintenance instructions, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one –on-one and small group situations of customers, clients and other employees of the organization
