Water and/or Wastewater License Preferred

40-HOUR WORK WEEK MAY INCLUDE A WEEKEND DAY
WORKING AN "ON-CALL" SCHEDULE WITH SOME OVERTIME REQUIRED

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking two (2) experienced candidates to work under the direction of the Utility Manager and Water Operator for a large utility company. This Maintenance Trades Helper will be working independently while being a strong part of a team.

Position Overview/Summary:

Specifically, Our Client is seeking someone who has a proven history of performing repairs and preventive/corrective maintenance on water distribution system equipment, which will include:


  • Pumps
  • Fire Hydrants
  • Valves
  • Water Tanks
  • Chemical Feed Equipment
  • Motors
  • Electrical Controls


Scheduling Requirements:

The 40-hour work week may include a weekend day. It may also require working an "on-call" schedule with some overtime. The Maintenance Trades Helper must understand that there is indoor/outdoor work during seasonal heat and cold and/or adverse weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Trades Helper will:


  • Assist with maintaining daily logs, records, orders, surveys and routine reports.
  • Report unsafe conditions as well as accurately locate underground utility lines.

This is an estimated 6-month contract position, through Volt Workforce Solutions - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Blue Bell, PA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.



Requirements:

Required Skills for Maintenance Trades Helpers include the following:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid, active state Driver’s License
  • Must be able to:


    • Read gauges and meters
    • Prepare and maintain accurate paperwork


  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted
  • Someone with a Water and/or Wastewater License preferred
