We seek a candidate with proven experience in Leaning out Financial reporting processes in a large corporate structure. The ideal candidate will also have experience in creating or working within a shared service model.
Overall responsibility for providing accounting & reporting support for the IP businesses on the Fall Street Campus with the expanded responsibility to add the IP North American businesses in 2010. Including but not limited to coordination, review and management of standardizing and steam lining processes, eliminating unneeded reports, providing more value added reports for the business, monthly closing of the books and records, balance sheet reconciliations, taxes and audit & balance sheet review support. Another key area of responsibility is the development of the IP Accounting and Reporting resources to provide the proper development and growth opportunities. Additionally, with the re-alignment of the finance organization it will be absolutely critical that this position have seamless communication with the Business Analysis side of the finance group. This is a requirement for success in this position.
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible, as a member of the IP Finance team supporting financial reporting requirements including closing/consolidation, balance sheet reconciliations, GPA management, reporting (daily, weekly & monthly for finance and business), providing business review information and FMC reporting requirements (A Forms, Q Forms, Tax packages, Government Reporting). (Key result: Accurate financial information to make good business analysis and decisions).
- Responsible for applying 'Lean' standardized processes & standardized reporting, eliminating waste and stream lining processes to develop a highly efficient and effective accounting and reporting team for IP NA. This includes responsibility for SFO, NA Pro and IP Admin and will expand to include other NA businesses in 2010. This includes taking a leadership role and leading teams to drive improved performance in the business. (Key result: Timely and accurate information needed to have a profitable and growing business).
- Work closely with business analysis resources to ensure we can provide the data needed to meet the analysis needs of the business (customer information, market information, product information, cost information, key initiatives, etc.) (Key result: Profitable and growing business)
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place (SOA & FCPA) and provide support for SOA and balance sheet reviews across IP and FMC. (Key Result: No surprises and strong internal control environment)
- Work with the FRC on transactional coordination (A/R, A/P, Payroll, Capital, etc.) to improve coordination add to the services where it makes sense for the FRC to provide support. (Key Result: Cost effective execution of transactional processes)
- Manage the IP NA Accounting Analysts to provide the needed support for the business as defined in their separate job descriptions.
- Human Resources responsibilities include the quarterly performance reviews and management of co-worker development through the 70/20/10 VBLD learning process growing our personnel. (Key result: Provide growth and succession plan for our key positions).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: CPA and Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Experience: minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with both financial and general accounting background in a manufacturing environment preferred. Minimum of 6 years of supervisory experience.
