Will be responsible for the preparation of manpower projections, inter and intra department liaison, costs and schedule management, planning and scheduling of supervisory work assignments in support of department functions. This position will interface with Program Management and the Customer on a regular basis. This position will also be required to administer personnel actions as required according to company policy as well as the collective bargaining agreement currently in place.
Oversees maintenance servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. Ensures FAA maintenance requirements are met. Schedules maintenance and inspections. Obtains quotations from outside repair facilities for equipment that cannot be repaired or maintained in-house. Releases aircraft for flight. Recommends procedure changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspections. Consults manufacturer’s manuals for specifications and determines feasibility of repair or replacement. Requires FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license.
Job Qualifications: The individual will possess a strong background in, Installs of Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) modifications in the aviation field. Must have experience on heavy and light turbine and turboprop aircraft. Must have a working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and Certified Repair Station Operations. Must also be familiar with civilian and military maintenance instructions and have a working knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. The individual must be knowledgeable in the Materials Requirements planning, inventory control, shop floor control, product life cycle, and product/process flow. Strong communication skills required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office required.
Education Requirements: High school diploma/GED, Airframe and Powerplant license required, Associated degree desired.
5 years modification experience required.
