Manager, Business Development

About the Job

Quantum Intellectual Property Services and Intellectual Ventures seek a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Manager, Business Development. The Manager will be accountable for:

  • Leading and executing a variety of strategy and business development initiatives across the organization;
  • Managing virtual teams and communicating to key constituents the project objectives and recommendations;
  • Contributing to multiple projects in a variety of roles - as a manager, individual contributor or advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform industry, strategic and financial analyses. Synthesize and make recommendations based on key findings.
  • Prepare analytically-driven project reports and business plans for delivery at senior management and board-level.
  • Brainstorm ideas, gather requirements, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, and design business models.
  • Define objectives, timeline and milestones, resource requirements, and roles and responsibilities for projects.
  • Develop relationships, manage expectations and communicate on a formal and informal basis with senior executives and managers across the organization.
  • Reflect high degree of professional initiative and willingness/ability to operate effectively both on a team and independently.
  • Perform in a dynamic, challenging environment, and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines with limited to no supervision and bring strong organizational and project management skills.

 

Key Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience with minimum of 2 yrs experience from a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.) or a high-rigor environment such as private equity, investment banking or the internal consulting group of a Fortune 50 company.
  • Proven success in designing, managing and executing strategic and/or business development projects.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic, unstructured environment. Self-motivated and self-disciplined with “can-do” attitude.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Superior oral and written communication, leadership and team skills.
  • Advanced usage of MS Office programs. Excellent Excel model-building skills.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence. Bachelors Degree required. MBA from a top school strongly preferred.
