Position Description

SMSC’s finance team is looking for a Manager, Business Finance.  This position is part of a team that partners with the business leaders in formulating strategy and priorities, drives execution tactics, facilitates and coordinates effective communication of financial & operational performance for actual results, forecasts and long-range plans.

The Manager, Business Finance is responsible for establishing key operating metrics to measure performance and enable decision making process as well as supporting management on day-to-day issues in order to efficiently manage business activities.  They will also drive the coordination and execution of process improvement initiatives, both financial and operational.  Additionally, this position will, on a monthly basis, provide forecast updates including analysis of revenues by product/product line, gross margins (including ASP trends), operating expenses (as well as applicable headcount and capital) and variances to prior periods and plan.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

¨       Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA/MBA desired.

¨       8+ years experience, with at least 50% in a financial business support role.

¨       Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.

¨       Proven ability to drive process improvements for the supported organization.

¨       Strong working knowledge of ERP system (preferably SAP).

¨       Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products.
