Manager, Cash Management


 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSBA or related degree in Finance/Accounting.  Master’s Degree or CPA/CMA certification is desirable

  • 7-10 years experience in a corporate or public accounting environment with at least 5 years related experience in cash management, including cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit management

  • Experience in a variety of accounting areas/departments preferred in order to offer a broad range of experience

  • Must be knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

  • The individual must have strong oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with all levels of management and staff

  • Decisive, organized and detail oriented

  • Must be company and customer oriented with strong management skills and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to organize and schedule multiple concurrent activities

  • Advanced PC skills and ability to implement and manage various software systems

  • Previous experience in financial process improvements and paperless process management strongly preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recommend and enforce the credit policy, maximizing profitable sales and minimizing bad debts

  • Recommend and enforce the accounts payable policy, maximizing cash flow while maintaining good vendor relationships

  • Supervise the cash management department including recruitment, staffing, training and cross-training of personnel

  • Make credit investigations and recommendations. Establish Customer Credit lines per guidelines

  • Maintain updated files on all credit customers and appropriate tax filing documentation for vendors

  • Develop contacts with trade organizations, credit groups and financial specialists for the exchange of credit information

  • Issue appropriate reports to management related to cash management, including metrics and cash flow forecasts

  • Perform reconciliations of accounts with affiliated companies

  • Provide coordination and assistance for and during the annual audit and other audits as they are performed. Compile information for federal and state tax returns and send to Treasury department at BIC
