Manager, Charge Description Master (CDM)
MedStar Health, a non-profit, community-based healthcare organization serving the Baltimore/Washington region, has an immediate opportunity for a detail-oriented, experienced Charge Description Master (CDM) Manager to join the Rates and Reimbursement team at the Central Business Office in White Marsh, Maryland. Job Description: Manages the charge description master (CDM) for Harbor, Good Samaritan, Franklin Square, Union Memorial, and Georgetown University Medical Center to ensure compliance with Federal/State regulations. Responsible for coordinating all changes made to the CDM ensuring that the CDM policy and procedures are followed. Oversee and evaluate CDM Specialist staff for performance, productivity, and attendance concerns. Education: · Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (can be substituted for CDM experience or CPT coding accreditation) Experience: · 4 years experience in Healthcare. Strong knowledge of CDM. Skills: · Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel and Access · Experience with SMS a plus
