Manager, Clinical Pharmacology Center

Manages study procedures and operational activities of the Clinical Pharmacology Center (CPC) to ensure high quality client satisfaction and PRA profitability.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develops and manages CPC team, including full time and part time (OARS) staff to ensure optimal utilization of staff in the implementation and completion of clinical research studies
   o Supervises operations staff including staffing and performance management responsibilities
   o Manages and oversees the utilization of MIS time management system for operations staff
   o Oversees the completion and submission of time cards and payroll data
   o Implements and conducts training of operations staff
   o Schedules and reviews project tasks
   o Ensures staff fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with PRA’s policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
   o Prepares career development plans, performance appraisals and other performance management responsibilities according to company guidelines and policies
   o Works closely with Study Managers and other staff as a team to maximize resources
   o Maintains the master unit staffing schedule and bed occupancy schedule
   o Works closely with Study Managers and other staff to ensure availability of resources
   o Schedules all operations technical staff and makes shift assignments for each study/project
• Ensures that CPC clinical research studies costs are managed within appropriate project budgets.
   o Actively manages the variable costs of the CPC
• Follows all applicable PRA and client SOPs and documents deviations from these SOPs

QUALIFICATIONS
• Substantial employment-related clinical experience required including supervisory experience
• Previous experience in Phase I Research preferred
• Undergraduate degree in a clinical of health-related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrate high organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities well
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, be articulate in explanations and communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients, management and staff at all times
• Read, write, and speak fluent English; in Europe, fluency in the language of the host country is also required
