What Communications Bus Partner contributes to Cardinal Health


Communications Business Partner is responsible for the development and implementation of communications strategies in support of a specific business sector/segment, corporate staff function or key initiative.

Accountabilities in this role


 


This position is responsible for internal, sales, customer service and customer communication strategy, planning and execution to support the acute-care businesses. This includes communications to support our Customer Experience initiatives, Medical Segment business strategy, marketing initiatives, crisis management and other companywide communication. This position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, engaging all levels of the organization. In addition, the position must identify and capitalize on communication opportunities that serve to educate our employee base on strategic, competitive and tactical initiatives intended to drive business results.


 


SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


  • Supports the development and execution of an "Office of the Customer Experience" communication/change management strategy, based on near-term priorities and longer-term vision, partnering with the Chief Customer Officer and other function and business leaders.

  • Leads and directs internal communication to support OCE goals and projects, as well as other acute care marketing and sales communication requirements, using the most effective communication channels based on audience needs and preferences.

  • Provide business advice and communication consulting services to the OCE and Medical business leaders on effective industry and professional practices.

  • Identifies and develops positive working relationships with target employee groups at all levels.

  • Ensures that project updates are appropriately communicated to leadership, stakeholders and key customers and that input is obtained on communication plans and messages.

  • Supports and reinforces training programs for new Cardinal Health products and services.

  • Ensures that project success metrics and milestones are achieved and that projects progress in a timely manner.

  • Coordinates efforts with other functional groups such as Customer Service, Operations, HR, Legal and Quality & Regulatory Affairs as well as the business segments.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree (major in marketing, communications, web design, fine arts, graphic design, journalism, English or related field)

  • 6-8 years work experience in related field.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office programs and related marketing/communications technologies

  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of communication vehicles (print, web, video, scripts, presentations) and, preferably, experience with "new media," including social media and collaboration sites.

  • Experience in large-scale change management initiatives. 

  • Strong ability to develop and implement strategies and programs that support and help meet business objectives.

  • Experience in health care industry and advanced degree (Master's) a plus
