Manager, Compensation and Benefits
SUMMARY:
The Manager, Compensation and Benefits will be responsible for designing and maintain Green Dot’s competitive benefit strategies and compensation plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists in preparation of salary planning and other reports with Human Resources professionals and management. Assists in coordinating social activities.
· Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans. Integrates cost effectiveness and consistency with compensation trends and Corporate objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to Corporate staff.
· Provides advisement to Corporate staff regarding pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
· Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for staff including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken with employees.
· Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
· Manages the participation in both exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
· Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure Company compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or similar field
· Minimum Six (6) years progressively responsible experience in both compensation and benefits administration.
· Knowledge of Government and preferably multi-state regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs; company policies and operations.
· Strong mathematical aptitude, analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively through group presentations and correspondence.
· Strong computer skills and HRIS systems administration with ADP preferred.
· Proven interpersonal skills with executive levels and operations management.
· Ability to work in a cross functional, team environment
· Familiarity with Stock Option Administration and equity based programs a plus
