I. Basic Function

The Commercial Contracting function is responsible for:
• Managing commercial contract development execution and maintenance
• Administering contractual rebates fees and other programs
• Ensuring customer compliance with contractual terms conditions and obligations
• Leading contract effectiveness efforts related analyses and proposed strategy modifications
• Driving operational efficiencies
• Managing customer relations
• Complying with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Communicating contracting pricing and customer information to the Commercial organization

II. Specific Duties

A. Manage the contract development execution and maintenance for performance-based customer contracts
B. Analyze customer performance against defined contract metrics and effectively communicate results to internal and external customers
C. Monitor and report customer compliance with all contractual terms conditions and obligations including compliance with data agreements
D. Perform timely and accurate calculation authorization payment and tracking of contractual rebates and fees
E. Execute commercial contracting efforts through relationships with marketing and sales colleagues
F. Build collaborative relationships with key contract strategy participants to enhance the overall contract process
G. Assist with the development and execution of contract effectiveness efforts related analyses and proposed strategy modifications
H. Coordinate the Synagis Distribution Network (SDN) membership process including the annual review and ongoing maintenance processes
I. Facilitate the contract negotiation process by analyzing customer contract redlines identifying proposed changes and preparing documentation to be used in both internal and external negotiations
J. Provide high quality customer service to both external customers and internal clients with regard to all aspects of contracts pricing and other contract/ service issues
K. Support key customer relationships with wholesalers distributors and group purchasing organizations in conjunction with National Accounts and Managed Care sales teams
L. Support the development and maintenance of policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliant operations
M. Review and improve current processes to increase efficiencies productivity and customer support
N. Assist the Government Pricing team in managing the flow of sales data and discounts for the reporting of required Medicaid and Federal pricing components
O. Perform routine and adhoc commercial contract reporting and analyses as needed

C. Planning and forecasting savvy with recognizing trends establishing paths forward and minding details without becoming overwhelmed by amount of data
D. Focus on meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect
E. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization
F. Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to influence without authority and maintain high levels of communication and feedback with peers
G. Ability to effectively balance detail-orientation while maintaining an understanding of overall upstream and downstream process implications
H. Strong processes management skills including ability to simplify complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement
I. Experience in process documentation and SOX compliance is highly desirable
J. Demonstrated strength as individual contributor as well as team player
K. Demonstrated systems orientation (Windows Excel Access etc.) including development troubleshooting and maintenance
L. Ability to work under strict deadlines as well as multi task and prioritize multiple projects
M. Demonstrated ability to exceed goals successfully and consistently performs at a high level

III. Education/Experience and Key Qualifications

Education/Experience
A. A Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or finance is required; MBA is preferred
B. Minimum of four or more years of experience is required; previous related experience (financial analysis contract management compliance customer service) is preferred
C. Biologics or pharmaceutical experience is desired
