Manager - Email Campaign Management

This leadership role ensures that Interactive Marketing Campaigns are developed and implemented accurately and on time.  This role requires a strong combination of technical skills, leadership skills and operational abilities.  This role will lead the Campaign Specialist team to help meet and exceed our client’s interactive marketing goals.  This role is responsible for scheduling and assigning resources in order to meet client deadlines and email content requirements.  The Operations Manager will be responsible for the training and development of employees, and ensuring the accuracy of all text and functional email content prior to distribution for delivery via Merkle’s email platform.  In addition, the Operations Manger is responsible for employee training, administering employee performance evaluations, and goal reviews. Direct responsibilities will include HTML creation and optimization, content change management, and the coordination and communication of resource capacities and capabilities to the client teams.


 


 


Position Responsibilities: 


 



  • Ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of text, graphic, layout, and functional content for email campaigns.
  • Define and develop technical specifications and technical implementation plans for all email campaigns.
  • Work with account representatives and creative in coordinating and communicating content change requests and activity.
  • Manage the daily and weekly production schedule.
  • Documentation of processes, including change tracking and content requirements.
  • Schedule and assign resources in order to meet client deadlines.
  • Provide feedback to account and creative teams on process and platform efficiencies.
  • Being the expert on email best practices and educating others
  • Training employees and administering employee performance evaluations and goal reviews.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to function in a high pressure, dynamic environment

Position Qualifications:

  • Strong  technical aptitude with exposure to email and internet applications

  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years proven experience in online or Internet content creation.
  • Experience in electronic media creation and associated editing processes.
