The Manager Enterprise Benefits Administration will have responsibility for 10+ direct reports on the Modular Product team as well as offshore resources.
Team will have responsibilities for Modular Operations including the administration and production of Commercial Product benefit documentation. These include documents such as Summary of Benefit and Coverage (SBC), Summary of Benefits (SOB) and Evidence of Coverage (EOC). Ideal candidate will have experience managing teams with record of successful leadership.
Manages activities within the Enterprise Benefits Administration (EBA) support area which are cross-functional, highly complex and/or require support of large Plan of Record (POR) investment portfolios. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Executes prescribed processes in assigned area to deliver quality services.
  • Advocates and promotes EBA with operational leaders and other partners across the enterprise.
  • Provides change leadership in support of rollout of new and/or improved benefit support and/or quality processes.
  • Deploys appropriate quality controls and procedures and/or ensures alignment of process with corporate or EBA deployed standards/guidelines.
  • Implements policies, practices, standards and procedures of EBA organization.
  • Continually improves the services provided to the enterprise.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
It is preferred that this position work from the Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Mason, OH; Norfolk, VA or Richmond, VA. May work from any Anthem location.
Qualifications
  • Requires a BA/BS in related field, 5+ years' experience as a manager and/or managing large scale projects in a complex business and systems environment with demonstrated understanding of end-to-end healthcare domain knowledge from sales through reporting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience leading analytic and/or configuration project teams is a plus as is leading agile implementations.
  • Knowledge of commercial product benefits is desired.
