Manager, Financial Systems- Oracle A/P & A/R

At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Manager, Financial Systems with strong experience in the Oracle A/P and A/R modules located in Englewood, CO.



The Manager is tasked with ownership of all sub ledger activities and reporting, as well as providing direction to the Analysts and user base on a day-to-day basis. The role is a liaison between the business teams and our IT organization, enabling a unique perspective on the needs of the organization and the capabilities of the system. The role requires a solid working knowledge of the unique aspects of our business. You will be challenged with identifying solutions to meet the business needs in delivering our financial results.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Oversee the activities of a team of Financial Systems Analysts

- Participate in design of new solutions and modules as they are evaluated and rolled out to the user group

- Translate business requirements into functional design specifications

- Configure Oracle Applications instances in accordance with the Configuration Standards

- Responsible for working with IT to migrate configurations and changes into production

- Work with your team to perform unit testing and UAT

- Open and coordinate Service Requests with Oracle Support

- Troubleshooting, providing hands on support, and overseeing all sub ledger activities

- Sub Ledger reporting utilizing Oracle Discoverer and Vista

- Providing expertise and direction to the Financial Systems staff

- Acting as the central point of contact for the global finance teams in all regions

- Providing on-call support for application issues in Oracle, supporting the month end close, system availability and performance optimization

- Manage and support system testing of new upgrades, hot patches and releases

- Proactively identify opportunities to automate business and reporting processes

- Special projects as required



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in either Finance/Accounting/Information Technology or equivalent experience

- 10+ years of System Administration experience with Oracle Financials, with 5 years experience managing a staff

- Demonstrated knowledge of monthly close process is a must

- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle A/P and A/R

- Experience with Oracle Discoverer or BI Answers, and Vista

- Excellent project management and customer service skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Access



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Accounting background with IT knowledge
