Provide consultative, business partner relationship, human resources support and counsel to a business unit/functional group and/or location covering many or most of the following areas: recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, immigration and training. In addition provide consultative support in the areas of change management, succession and organizational planning, leadership and associate development. Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and compliance with all laws/statues regulating the employment relationship. Partner with corporate specialty channel on implementation of companywide initiatives. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with 3 years of management experience.
 
Ability to develop and integrate HR strategies and initiatives with company’s business strategies with minimal supervision to no supervision
 
Strong interpersonal communication, listening skills, critical writing and thinking skills, an open minded approach and the ability to think on one’s feet.
 
Strong budget and management skills, including proven ability to project/process manage
 
Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding customers, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment;
 
Capable of "hands on" approach at all levels of organization
 
Knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC and employment law
 
High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality
 
Advanced proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database programs.
 
Bachelor's degree in business, liberal arts, human resources or organizational development; may have some post-graduate education or training.
 
Prefer SPHR certification.
