With annual sales of greater than $2 billion and over 11,000 employees, RTSC is organized into three primary business areas: mission support services, professional services, and industrial/depot services. riot operations Job description In this position, you will partner with Program Management (PM) supporting a variety of engineering programs to ensure the schedule/program plan is executable (cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated) and executing as planned. You will analyze the total system life cycle, applying engineering process knowledge and experience, advising cross-functional teams to ensure best engineering processes and technologies are utilized in meeting program schedule, utilizing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Typical responsibilities will include: - Develop the network/integrated work flow of schedule activities to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective use of engineering technical and other data, including schedule definition, structure, and documentation. - Perform quality control audits and analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper usage of engineering technical and other data for critical path, risk, structure, trend and EV analysis. - Review and direct IMS coding, outlining structures and adherence to scheduling best practices. - May establish and maintain security and integrity controls. - Provide appropriate technical consulting, interfacing, analysis and training for control account managers, IPT leads, PMs and program personnel on IMS and all technical data associated with the IMS. - Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to IMS creation, maintenance, and management. - Develop and deploy custom tools, reports, forms, charts and fully document them as required, and provide technical support. - Develop interfaces to other software applications as required. - Act as a Team Leader in assigning tasks and ensuring objectives are met. Provide guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy. - As Team Leader, work the organizations objectives and schedules. - Establish operating policies and procedures that affect the team. Accomplish results through his/her staff and direct reports and be responsible for all projects assigned. - Coordinate and set policy with equivalent managers and customer representatives which concern projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contract clarifications. - Conduct briefings and technical meetings for internal and external customers. Will support of program reviews, written reports, and customer presentations and assist in the development of proposals. Required skills - Strong planning and scheduling skills, including critical path analysis. - Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) setup and maintenance. - Intermediate to advanced MS Project, APEX and PRISM Skills. - Capability with personal computer and business solutions software (e.g. MS Excel, Word, Project, & PowerPoint. MS Access knowledge desirable) - Ability to manage schedules for multiple programs concurrently. - Knowledge of the product development process in an engineering environment. - Strong analytical and organizational skills, able to be diplomatically persuasive or assertive when necessary. - Must be eligible for security clearance - Minimum 8 years experience. - Ability to travel within the US and abroad. Desired Skills - Knowledge of additional software tools such as Primavera. - Proposal development experience - Experience or knowledge in product development processes in a business or engineering environment (e.g. Integrated Product Development System) - Familiarity with Risk Management Tools - Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to coordinate activities and respond to inquiries from the customer and engineering. - Experience writing logistics, deployment, retrofit and fielding plans Degree required Bachelors in an engineering or technical discipline. An additional 8 years experience may substitute for a degree.
