Key Objective
This position is responsible for negotiation, management and administration of a wide variety of technology acquisitions by partnering with internal stakeholders, including IT, Business and Legal subject matter experts to negotiate contractual agreements and provide insight into the terms of those agreements post contract completion.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
§ Act as lead representative for Information Technology in technology acquisitions with a wide variety of vendors.
§ Manage and administer technology outsourcing agreements.
§ Working with the appropriate stakeholders for each individual deal, negotiate technology related agreements including but not limited to software licensing and maintenance, leasing, and professional services.
§ Translate the requirements of the subject matter experts into contractual requirements and deliverables.
§ Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ACE corporate contracts policy and procedures.
§ Ensure accurate contracts filing, electronic storage of executed agreements, and contracts data entry into internal database
§ In coordination with ACE Legal, provide interpretation and clarification to appropriate parties on contractual terms and conditions.
§ Meet with service providers and internal customers on a regular basis to manage efficiencies and contract terms, including but not limited to service levels.
Qualifications:
§ Bachelor’s Degree
§ 5-10 years experience in technology acquisition, contract negotiation and vendor management
§ Background in financial analysis and software license/maintenance, hardware, professional services, and telecom procurement
§ Strong orientation to technological strategies and concepts, vendor assessment and strategic sourcing
§ Demonstrated leadership and relationship skills
§ Ability to motivate others to complete an agreement that benefits both parties
§ Understanding of expense management and budget planning
§ Studies in contract law preferred
§ Certifications in procurement or contract negotiation preferred
