Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Manager in Training- Sales.  If you are looking for a career with the potential to work independently and manage a team of outside sales professionals than this is the position for you!   Our ideal candidate is driven to exceed expectations and excel in a competitive environment. 


 


We are the FASTEST GROWING NATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR of over 45,000 Maintenance and Repair Products (MRO) to the Industrial/Government/Heavy Equipment/Fleet/Auto repair markets.  We have grown from $9 Million in sales in 1990 to an anticipated $120 million in 2009. 


 


Specific responsibilities include:


The Manager in Training – Sales position will require a six month internal training program in our Columbus, OH headquarters.  The trainee will spend time learning the process and procedures of our internal operations.  A rotation in each of our vital sales support departments will be required prior to training completion.  You will also be involved in sales manager development training courses and will spend time out in the field with sales managers.  After the initial six month training period you will be required to move into your assigned territory and advance to the rookie sales representative field program.  Possible territories include, Cleveland, Akron, Pittsburgh and Toledo.


 


Qualifications


This position requires:



  • A four year BA/BS degree from an accredited university;

  • Strong leadership skills and someone who is highly ambitious and motivated;

  • Someone with a desire to work in sales management in the industrial distribution industry;

  • Someone who is able to perform several tasks simultaneously and work in a fast paced environment;

  • Evidence of leadership activities that could include student of professional organizations, volunteer experience, internships, special honors or achievements.

  • Someone who excels in a competitive environment
