Manager, Indirect Procurement
The Manager, Indirect Procurement is responsible for supporting corporate sourcing initiatives for indirect and capital categories. Reporting to the Executive Director, Indirect Procurement, this individual will support strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect categories and perform complex data analysis to identify new sourcing and other cost optimization opportunities. Potential categories include travel, print, contract labor, marketing, advertising, professional services, counters, market research, office supplies, office equipment, uniforms, forms, auto leasing, meetings, construction, telecommunications, IT software, and IT hardware, etc. Accountabilities: - Manages strategic sourcing initiatives following best practice sourcing methodology
- Collect and analyze spend data
- Performs complex data analysis and builds financial models
- Develops business cases for new sourcing opportunities
- Gather category requirements and specifications from ELC brands/departments and category experts
- Assess supplier capabilities to meet requirements / specifications and identifies new sources of supply
- Develops sourcing strategies based on baseline data
- Manages the planning and launch of RFIs and/or RFPs
- Analyze supplier proposals and develop executive presentations with results
- Facilitates fact-based supplier selection process
- Negotiates contract terms and coordinates with Legal to execute contract
- Develops transition plan to new supplier and supports implementation
- Participates in issue resolution, prepare issue reports and escalate issues early and appropriately
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders
Qualifications: - An undergraduate degree in relevant areas such as operations, technology or finance
- MBA or other relevant degree /certification (e.g., ISM CPM) highly desirable
- Must possess 5 years of relevant experience (e.g., consulting, sourcing, or procurement
- Must have strong analytical, problem solving, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and integrate information by leveraging appropriate productivity tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent skills in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Access required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
