Manager, Infrastructure Quality Assurance

This position has the flexibility to be located in either Washington, DC OR Ashburn, VA.

In this role, you will provide oversight and guidance for the design, development, testing and implementation of information technology infrastructure systems supporting software applications. You will promote an effective risk-based approach to validation, recognizing an appropriate balance between quality, cost and timelines.  This role will provide guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on QA methodologies and processes; develop and maintain a Quality Assurance System; and develop overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract objectives.

 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, including at least three years of supervisory experience in a related management role preferably Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or Quality Control. Experience with different operating systems (XP, Windows 2003, AIX, Soalris, etc.) and knowledge of Oracle 9i and above are required. Candidates must have knowledge and experience in quality and regulatory affairs with a working knowledge of the Quality Systems Regulations (21CFR 820). Must be familiar with the practical application of relevant FDA regulations, FDA guidance, AABB, IEEE and industry best practices. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience in a blood banking or regulated environment is highly desired.
