Client located in the state of Maryland has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Operations Manager. The primary focus of this position is to direct and coordinate activities of machining, assembly and logistics operations. Responsibilities - Manage multiple areas of operation and multiple production functions to include CNC machining activities, traditional machining, and assembly
- Manage, provide direction, and mentor supervisors and their staff
- Work with top management to set budgets, goals and objectives
- Analyze department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocate operating budget
- Plan, develop, and implement manufacturing logistics policies and goals
- Manage all warehouse functions, production planning, and manufacturing purchasing
- Define and oversee company's sourcing strategy and develop plans to continually reduce cost and inventory levels
- Assist in the development of strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Conduct budget reviews and manpower analysis
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Previous management experience
- 4 to 10 years of relevant work experience
- Training specializing in Horizontal FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System)/CNC shop environment
