Manager, Media Marketing & Communications (Marcom)
 
The Manager, Media Marketing & Communications is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurially-minded candidate to drive global marketing and communications for Travelocity's growing media-model business, an important new channel for the company.  This is a new position for the company so the successful candidate will feel comfortable and be energized by playing a key role in shaping the role, setting priorities, identifying resources and requirements, operating effectively between the big picture and the details, working with a diverse range of teams internally and externally, and driving buy-in throughout the media and broader organization.
 
Responsibilities cover the spectrum of marketing and communications and include:
 
·         Develop and maintain professional sales collateral covering the business and product lines, including physical and digital collateral, numerous sales decks and Online Media Kit
·         Develop a compelling brand and brand identity for the Travelocity Media business
·         Name new products and product lines
·         Work with the Travelocity PR team to develop Travelocity Media's approach for generating visibility in the news media, which will include issuing press releases on new products, organizing interviews with media publications and identifying speaking engagements at industry conferences
·         Create and execute quarterly media communication email to our advertising partners
·         Analyze campaigns and develop compelling case studies
·         Organize Media Team meetings and off-sites
·         Manage team email distribution lists and internal communication templates
 
The Manager will be a self-starter, able to identify, prioritize and pursue opportunities to enhance the professional image, perception and reputation of the Travelocity Media business (with particular attention to tools for our Sales teams) and ensure that team communications are efficient and effective.  Reporting to the Vice President Media, the Manager will collaborate closely with teams throughout the media organization, particularly with Media Sales, Media Product, IgoUgo and the Media Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  •  Bachelors degree or equivalent required, Marketing MBA preferred

  • Online savvy - minimum 5 years in online marketing, branding and communications

  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills; ability to easily communicate with all levels (clients, sales teams, executives, teams in other areas)

  • Ability /interest in working in a fast paced, dynamic environment on multiple priorities

  • Passion to win; results oriented

  • Creative, confident and bold; able to imagine new possibilities and forge a vision

  • Leadership experience and abilities

  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally

  • Simultaneously thinks and acts entrepreneurially, independently and collaboratively

  • Fast learner

  • Ability to identify, analyze and act quickly on emerging insights, trends and opportunities

  • Expert PowerPoint skills, strong design abilities
