Summit Community Care is poised to become the leading Medicaid health plan in Arkansas, under an innovative new behavioral health program designed by a forward-thinking state. Summit Community Care supports a new model of organized care that serves Medicaid members who have complex behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disabilities service needs. The Manager of Medicaid Plan Marketing is responsible for coordinating and directing Medicaid marketing and community outreach efforts, including management of community outreach staff. Develops objectives, strategy, and programs for marketing activity to drive membership growth, retention, and engagement. Develops community partnerships and fosters the voice of the health plan with key stakeholders, including organizations that provide social supports for people in need. This position reports directly to the health plan President.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops short and long term marketing and retention strategies and objectives.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of the business to achieve health plan goals.
  • Researches and evaluates competitive activity, develops competitive responses.
  • Develops and implements of an effective tracking mechanism for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities and staff productivity.
  • Develops and conducts office and field rep training methods.
  • Oversees the quality control process and resolves issues as they arise.
  • Ensures 100% compliance with state, federal, and municipal laws, rules, and guidelines for marketing and outreach.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Qualifications
  • Requires a BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration; 7 years of experience in sales or community relations, including 3 years of sales or marketing management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • MBA preferred.
