The primary purpose of this position is to provide the leadership role and manage day-to-day functions of the Network Infrastructure Group
Qualified candidates must have:
• BS or BA degree.
• 3-5 Yrs in Enterprise Networking Management AND 5-10 years experience in various Network Engineering Roles including Team Lead/Architect and/or similar Senior Networking Engineer Roles.
Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job:
• Expert level knowledge of TCP/IP networks
• Cisco Hardware, network and performance management (required)
• Large user environment experience required (ours 5,000 +)
• Change management, policy and procedural enforcement
• Network optimization/acceleration
• Network Engineering Best Practices
• Security and compliance
• Experience in managing and negotiating with telecommunications vendors and technology vendors.
Experience managing and implementing the following technologies:
Routing and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), Ethernet Switching, Cisco IOS, Cisco router and switch hardware, Cisco ASA/PIX Firewall, NAT, IPSEC, IPX, SNA, Radius, TACACS, TCP/IP, QOS, VPN Technologies, Internet architecture and Multi-homing, Frame Relay, MPLS, Broadband, Token Ring, Cisco ACE, Self motivated, critical thinker who can turn an idea into a plan and execute it on schedule with minimal oversight. Cisco CCNA/CCNP or higher certification highly desirable
