·         Excellent technical understanding of WAN, LAN and Voice Infrastructure in a Global Enterprise environment?

·         Experience as a Telecom & Operations Manager for a large Global company?

Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment and operation of Global network & telecom infrastructure including  WAN, LAN, voice systems, voice mail, network accelerators, firewalls  related devices
• Manage global team including:  networking project managers, engineers, administrators and support personnel
• Direct Corporate strategy and ensure compliance of architecture standards and policies
• Architect data and voice network solutions
• Project Management for large Projects
• Manage Vendors - Experience managing  to Vendor agreements – Global experience a plus
  • Direct Service Providers and Vendors to ensure delivery of services

• Excellent technical understanding of communication infrastructure
• Responsible for understanding, and documenting company’s current telecom basic infrastructure
• Responsible for evaluating Infrastructure – Capacity Management – Business Needs met
• Evaluating Internal Talent – support organization’s needs

Skills & Experience:

• Has experience managing large Enterprise solutions, equipment and architectures for a Global IT Service Organization
• Has about 10 years of experience coming up through the ranks in telecom:
  • Configured routers, configured switches, managed firewalls; became a team leader, led organizations and became Manager
• Avaya PBX, Voice IP, CISCO WAN routers, LAN switches, WAN Topologies, Firewalls, BMC Remedy a plus, knows architecture around a DMZ
• High Availability WAN configuration with HSRP
• DMZ Design with Juniper firewall devices
• Traffic Shaping and WAN Acceleration with Bluecoat devices
• Technical Certifications a plus:  CISCO, CCNA, CCNP etc.
• Global WAN experience with vendors like: BT Infonet, Orange, AT&T and Telstra
• Experience managing multiple vendors
• Operational experience with ITIL processes
• Expert level knowledge in Availability and Capacity Management

• Large Project Management experience
• Very good people management skills – how large of a team?
• Up to 30% Domestic and International travel required
• MANDATORY University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline
• MUST BE A US CITIZEN or a PERMANENT RESIDENT – no sponsorship!
