Manager, Operational Reporting Competency Center


This position is responsible for the following: Provide strategic leadership and project direction for data and metrics management.   Work with HPO vertical business units and Competency Centers representatives to identify and fulfill their reporting needs.  Manages the total reporting solutions for all operational processing areas for all internal Highmark customers,   This includes developing dashboards, scorecards, forecasting, trending and tracking results to enhance customer business operations performance and effectiveness.  Manage functions for operational transformation and cost containment.  Oversee and direct complex and critical projects and activities including, but not limited to, HIG initiatives, Operations global projects, CSG specific accountabilities and Business Unit level responsibilities that proactively identify and solve key operational issues.  Manage the development and ongoing refinement of methods and practices to improve the development of reporting solutions that impact overall management of Client Management, Member Management, Customer Service, Claims Processing, and Billing processes.  Work with HPO vertical business unit, Performance Metrics Competency Center (PMCC) and Business Process Competency Center (BPCC) representatives to identify and fulfill their reporting and data management needs.  Review and approve all incoming reporting and related data requests received by the ORCC from representatives from HPO vertical business units, PMCC, and BPCC.  Drive the adoption of practices known as Managing with Analytics, including but not limited to representing HPO’s needs in Enterprise Business Intelligence projects, creating and enabling self-service reporting solutions and tools and playing an integral role in providing management with the right information at the right time.


 


 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


•          Bachelors Degree in Business or Management Information Systems.


•          At least five (5) years experience in Customer Service, Claims Processing, Enrollment, Client Management and/or Billing Management.


•          At least three (3) years experience in project management including development of project and staffing plans.


•          At least three (3) years experience with Advanced SAS programming skills and experience on the SAS Data Integration (DI), SAS Data Quality (DQ), Teradata RDBMS and SAS Enterprise BI platform, including Information Delivery Portal, OLAP Builder, Enterprise Miner and Forecast Server.


 


          


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


•          Master's Degree in  Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics or Operations Research


•          At least two (2) years experience in managing large teams SAS Report Developers
