Fiserv is a leading provider of plastic cards, mail fulfillment, electronic publications and business communications, is currently seeking to hire an experienced – Programmer Analyst I in our Programming team who can succeed in a fast paced multi-task challenging but rewarding work environment.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing visibility and insight into the current and anticipated product needs of our customers to create products that extend or end the life of existing products, enhance the value of those products or introduce new products and capabilities to grow revenue. The candidate will be the recognized subject matter expert, thought leader and project execution leader on the products, features, product evolution and services offered by Fiserv Output Solutions and the competition within the markets we compete.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Establishes and communicates product definition and feature sets for existing, future and competitive products
2.Responsible for driving new product development and implementation through all stages of the product development process to successful product launch.
3.Responsible for analyzing complex product strategy and development issues and providing clarity for management and project teams.
4.Manage short-term (annual) and long-term (3-5 years) product strategy (new and existing) and leads the planning processes which include product fit and scope of development as well as identification of new product platforms.
5.Conduct studies, research, and evaluation of new products and product technologies and their market potential.
6.Coordinate the initial stages of new product development and design changes to existing product lines.
7.Conduct business case development including product feature set definition, competitive analysis, customer needs definition, proforma product profitability analysis and feasibility studies for new product ideas, product enhancements or product extensions.
8.Work closely with the sales, marketing, product development and IT on feasibility of new products and strategic initiatives.
9.Manages customer contact for modifications or adaptations of products and services to meet customer’s needs.
10.Performs other duties as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, computer science and/or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Job Related Experience: Five to seven years of product development experience preferably in the financial, healthcare or retail industries in secure or non-secure card, transactional print, direct marketing or electronic document delivery. Proven record of product innovation success in developing and launching new print and software products.
