Tyco Retail Solutions (TRS), the leader in Loss Prevention and Store Performance Solutions, is looking for a Solutions Manager for the ShopperTrak organization. The Solutions Manager position will be responsible for driving product/solution development, contributing to a comprehensive portfolio of shopper, traffic and analytics solutions, overseeing solution lifecycle management and ensuring the success of this exciting business.

 

What You Will Do:


 

This position is responsible for defining and delivering TRS’s Market Intelligence offerings on a global basis.  Candidate will be responsible for increasing TRS’s market share and driving profitable revenue growth through various Market Intelligence Solutions within the Retail Industry.  The function will drive strategic product roadmaps that meet global customer needs, work with external vendor partners, and lead internal cross functional teams to ensure successful market launch of high impact solutions. 

 

As a solution portfolio subject matter expert for ShopperTrak Market Intelligence, this position will be frequently asked to participate in high level global customer, and strategic partner meetings to present product roadmaps and strategic perspective. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:    


 



  1. Responsible for developing business cases, market requirements and product definitions through a diligent “outside-in” Voice of Market and Voice of Customer approach.

  2. Determine engineering development priorities, and evaluate business development opportunities via both acquisitions and partnerships.

  3. Responsible managing the solution offerings through the cradle-to-grave lifecycle.

  4. Lead product development process activities associated with all product and service solutions to ensure quality technical evaluation, high impact business case development, senior management alignment and sponsorship and successful market launches. 

  5. Work with other functional areas of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, strategic sourcing, service and installation, finance, legal, and monitoring to provide direction and collaborate on all new products and product enhancements.

  6. Collaborate with TRS marketing, business development and sales organizations to better understand vertical market customer needs and provide product guidance and presentation support for Global accounts.










What We Look For:

 

Education:         BA / BS degree in a business or technology related field and MBA or equivalent Master’s degree a plus

 

     

Experience:  3+ years of experience in a product/solutions environment with exposure to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a related industry or field.

 



  • Experience creating a strategic vision, gaining senior management alignment and successful launch of new products or services to market.



  • Experience with developing and marketing technology products within the Retail Industry



  • Experience with enterprise class software and service based solutions



  • Experience with complex technology solutions and distributed computing systems



  • Experience with solutions comprising various technologies including, wireless, IP networking, middleware, analytics, distributed computing systems, IoT, enterprise software development and data management. 



  • Experience with developing and marketing hosted (SAAS) and licensed software solutions.




  • Demonstrated cross functional leadership skills, collaborative problem solving and decision-making skills, and project coordination/management. 



 

Skills:

 



  • Advanced knowledge in global product development, product management, agile development and marketing processes



  • Technical aptitude, particularly with IP based related product & software systems and services.



  • Ability to motivate and rally individuals and cross functional teams within the organization



  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal



  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    Experience interfacing with various internal (sales, development, operations, marketing, etc) and external constituents (customers, analysts, partners)
