Manager, Product Marketing and Communications

About the Job

GXS is seeking a Manager of Product Marketing and Communications to create interactive and direct marketing campaigns resulting in qualified lead generation.



Job Requirements:
- Plan and conduct market and public opinion research to test products or determine potential for product success, communicating results to client or management

- Manage and develop corporate events with cross-functional teams to support customer relationships and roadmap strategies

- Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for customers to increase product and service awareness and to promote goodwill

- Delivery of strong, branded campaigns to support business goals, creative web-based copy and multi-media content, webinar promotions, e-surveys and industry-focused e-newsletters

- Manage and develop industry-specific trade show programs and logistics including communications
to support lead generation objectives and promotions strategies

- Brief and train the sales force and assist the sales force to qualify and close deals

- Writing content for all communications vehicles, and final proofing of all marketing programs materials

- Develop and maintain product master data management microsite and manage content revisions and translation process as needed

- Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences and overseeing the implementation of marketing communication plans with outside contractors, agencies, and consultants as needed for production

- Plan and direct development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable market perceptions of the organization's accomplishments and agenda

- Respond to requests for information from the media, industry analysts, and industry standards groups

- Confer with other managers to identify trends and key group interests and concerns or to provide advice on business decisions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills; thorough understanding of the Chicago Manual of Style for editing

- Solid understanding and utilization of all marketing mediums

- Ability to manage multiple projects on time and within budget

- Thorough understanding of writing content for search engine optimization

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Must be a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and eager to learn

Education and Experience

- BA degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent years of experience in a related field

- 7+ years of experience in providing retail and consumer products sectors marketing communications
