Manager / Production Manager - Seattle, WA


Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC operates two of the most recognized brands in the global vehicle rental industry through Avis Rent A Car System, LLC (Avis) and Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. (Budget).  We are currently searching for a dedicated Manager / Production Shift Manager to be responsible for managing vehicle activities and personnel at our San Francisco, CA airport location. 
 
Responsibilities for this exciting manager position include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all activities and personnel at an airport related to car inventory and availability
  • Oversee the safe transporting of vehicles to and from locations
  • Coordinate the proper placement and quality inspection of all vehicles prior to customer delivery.
  • Manage the cleaning and preparation of returned vehicles for the next rental to ensure compliance with established quality assurance standards
  • Monitor productivity; the shuttling of customers from rental counters to cars or from cars to airline terminal
  • Ensure staff are properly trained, motivated and coached relative to the servicing/distribution process
  • Plan and implement staffing schedules based on business demands and transaction levels.
  • Maintain adequate vehicle control in accordance with company guidelines, ensure proper missing vehicle reports are completed and filed with the   company
  • Partner with security personnel and/or local police, and prepares follow-up reports
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance standards are maintained.
  • Hire, supervise, train, develop, motivate and evaluate the performance of service/distribution staff.
  • Establish, communicate, monitor and update objectives for staff consistent with the Company goals and objectives.


Qualifications
  • High School Degree plus 4 years of supervisory experience OR Associates Degree.
  • Two years operations, maintenance and/or supervisory experience.
The Successful Candidate must be willing to and/or possess the following:
  • General business knowledge and/or experience to successfully operate an airport location.
  • Strong supervisory, communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate staff in a team environment.
  • Creative problem solving skills. 
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
