Functional Manager of the Production Control group. Includes all elements of leading and managing a diverse group of salaried and non-salaried employees. Specialized and demonstrated skills and experience are essential, due to the unique nature of the products and programs within the company.

35% Managerial/supervisory responsibility to organize and direct the work for all aspects of the Production Control, to include WIP over site through Manufacturing, MBOM coordination with Process Engineering and the development of formal established line loss factors for each program. The candidate will interface daily with Procurement, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Office, and Process Engineering to ensure materials are ordered within lead-times, and to the approved budgets with any associated problems constructively resolved. Performance metrics for the Planning group are also required, providing verifiable system control for management reviews. Budget control for the Planning group requires regular reviews and modification of individual work activities to meet company objectives.

20% Assure activities within defined scope are accomplished in accordance with Aerojet policies, sound business practices and in compliance with all internal and external regulations and schedules.

20% Provide appropriate and ongoing training and instruction to all personnel within functional groups to assure their success.

10% Coordinate with appropriate functional groups, including Quality, Program Management and other Operations COE's to resolve problems, expedite materials or processes, and determine priorities. Includes active membership on enterprise-wide teams, crossing these same functions at different Aerojet facilities.

15% Responsible Oracle implementation and maintenance of MRP, Specialized Oracle reports and other IT interface issues.

Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years directly related progressively responsible experience in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Requires thorough knowledge of MRP systems, their use and implementation in a multi-discipline environment. This individual will act as the MRP leader for the facility. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and delegate work assignments is required. Familiarity and/or demonstrated ability to conduct job safety analysis (JSA) within the Planning group and as an active member of the Camden Safety program. Knowledge of the Dock-to-Stock process, as it relates to MBOM creation, scheduling, planning and receipt, and issue of goods. Knowledge of all safety and industrial hygiene regulations and requirements, pertinent federal (FAR), state and local regulations, codes and guideline as they relate to assigned activities. Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management as well as individual contributors. This individual will also be assigned to lead and support management in the completion of varied special projects that will arise from time to time.

Special work conditions: Work place may include areas where chemical materials may be encountered. May involve exposure to shop environments including variable noise levels. Must have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety. May be required to utilize a variety of personal protective equipment.
