Independent Living for Seniors is a member of the Rochester General Health System which is a family of health care providers. We provide a program that gives the frail elderly an alternative to nursing home placement. We are designed to enable people to live in their own homes and be served by a network of supportive services. Manager Rehabilitation Services
· Supervise Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Speech Pathologists and HHA who work in Independent Living (ILS) for Seniors Rehabilitation department.
· Participates as an active member of the ILS Management Team supporting the program goals and objectives set or supported by the team.
· Coordinates managers and Day Center Supervisors to ensure that the rehabilitation departments operates in a mode that is aligned with the goals and objectives of other program activities.
· Creates policy and procedures for ensuring adequate competency of all rehab staff.
· Works with the Intra-disciplinary Team and Management Staff to appropriately prioritize utilization of resources to reflect actual participant needs.
· Hires, orients, and ensures adequate training and supervision of rehab staff.
· Analyze budget monthly and submits corrective action(s) as appropriate.
Requirements
License and current registration to practice as Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist is required and three years leadership experience is strongly preferred. The qualified candidate will have thorough knowledge of current acute and long-term care physical and/or occupational therapy practice. Skill in the application of current therapeutic procedures and techniques of patient care are required
