Fortune 500 company headquartered in San Francisco is seeking a Manager - SEC Reporting to join their management team.
Leading a team of 12, this position is responsible for managing the preparation and in-house filing of all SEC reports including the 10-K & 10-Q; researching complex accounting issues to determine the appropriate accounting treatment; educating and supporting business partners with the application of accounting policies.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the preparation and distribution of the Annual Report
· Manage the coordination, preparation, review and in-house filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K
· Support Investor Relations and Planning, Forecasting and Analysis groups in the quarterly earnings release and analyst conference call processes
· Maintain relationships with business partners to ensure early identification of transactions that could have a potential accounting/reporting impact
· Lead and mentor a staff of 12
Requirements:
· BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business
· 7+ years of public accounting experience; Big 4 preferred
· CPA strongly preferred
· Advanced knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting and technical accounting research required
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
