The Manager, Security is the top security and personnel safety executive in the company responsible for the organization's global security posture, both physical and digital. The Manager, Security will oversee and coordinate safety and security efforts across the company developing security policy, driving the development and deployment of standard operating procedures, and ensuring operating compliance. Also frequently own or participate closely in related areas such as business continuity planning, loss prevention and fraud prevention, and privacy.
Engage functional groups including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management, and logistics, to ensure safety and security.
Role and Responsibilities
· Identify protection goals and objectives consistent with corporate strategic plan
· Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and compliance with regulatory and voluntarily enjoined programs
· Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies
· Oversee the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary
· Oversee investigations of thefts and report findings
· Establish guidelines for prevention and serve as border patrol
· Manage an audit program to ensure operational compliance
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
· Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation
· Must have strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community
· Must have a solid understanding of supply chain security and the deployment of security policy across tiered partners
· Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security
· Former Secret Service or Law enforcement with an informational network is preferred
· Experience with aviation security is preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
