SunGard Availability Services is an operating group of SunGard Data Systems.

Basic Purpose:

 

The Manager of Security Operations will provide management expertise as it relates to the security operations of Identity Access Management Services, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, and Vulnerability Scanning.

 

The scope of the position's responsibilities includes the management of staff and a leadership role in the development and implementation of security operations procedures and controls.  This position requires some level of expertise in one or more of the following: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanning, Content Filtering, and 2-factor Authentication Systems.

               

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

*          Manage, lead and coach team of Security Engineers.

*          Perform the same duties as Security Engineers as needed to meet SLAs.

*          Position Security Operations team to provide effective and efficient services in support of MS goals and customer SLAs.

*          Assist in the development and maintenance ISO procedures and work instructions.

*          Ensure that change management and ISO procedures are implemented and enforced.

*          Provide management status reports and escalations on all Security Operation changes and incidents.

*          Participate in the remediation of audit findings as needed.

*          Manage related support infrastructure and product licenses as needed.

*          Implement Lifecycle changes and replace end-of-life equipment as needed.

*          Participate in various Security activities including special projects and documentation.

*          Able to be on call for security changes and incidents as needed.

*          Able to travel as needed.

 

SKILLS:     

 

*          CISSP and minimum of 3 years in a manager role required. 

*          Minimum of 10 years of Security and/or IT experience required.

*          BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience required with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent

*          Candidates should have successfully completed GIAC GCIA Certification or have equivalent working knowledge of security concepts.

*          Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills required.

*          Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills required.

*          Able to identify, monitor and investigate computer or network intrusions.

*          Able to maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures in network vulnerabilities.

*          Able to conduct vulnerability testing and penetration analyses of computer and networks.

*          Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, networking design, and routing architectures.

*          Expert knowledge of network security systems and protocols including firewalls, Radius and TACACS+, IPSEC and IKE, SSH, etc.

*          Knowledge of security standards such as COBIT, ITIL, BS7799 and ISO1799 preferred.

*          Participation in organizations such as CERT, IETF, ISACA, ISSA and SANS preferred.

*          Ability to maintain proficiency in Security Operations and best practices.

*          Ability to develop and/or implement security procedures and controls.
