Manager/Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax

We are currently seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join the National Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice in the Denver office.

In the U.S. alone, M&A Tax has over 120 professionals and is a resource for clients that are involved in a merger, acquisition, disposition, joint venture or other strategic transaction. Professionals in this practice bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax advisory services to help meet clients' specific needs.

Responsibilities for both positions:
• Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, and other mergers and acquisitions activities
• Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and communicates findings and opportunities to client
• Work with and assist other senior members of the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) tax practice with various technical tax issues dealing with consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs and LLPs
• Assist clients with bankruptcy emergency planning, out of court workouts, debt restructurings, and Section 382 analysis
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members

Additional Responsibilities of Senior Manager:
• Assist with business development for expansion of services at existing clients and attracting new clients
• Help ensure that the team’s workload is properly distributed
• Serve as an advisor to clients, in a range of industries, on Mergers and Acquisitions tax services and offerings

Qualifications for both positions:
• Five years of public accounting, law firm, and/or corporate tax experience
• Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters in various industries
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA or attorney

Additional Qualification for Senior Manager:
• Eight years of public accounting, law firm, and/or corporate tax experience
