What Software Engineering contributes to CareFusion

Software Engineering is responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

• Manages professional employees and/or supervisors; may manage business support, technical or production staff

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences or related field with 10+ years of experience or equivalent


• Master of Science or Master of Business Administration degree with 8+ years experience preferred

Required knowledge and experience:

• Resource planning and management;


• Budget planning and management;


• Software design, development life cycle, problem analysis, user requirement specification, user interface rapid prototyping and usability evaluation;


• Demonstrated results in software system design and development management;


• Talent recruitment, retention, and talent development;


• Healthcare-related knowledge and experience is a plus.
