What Software Engineering contributes to CareFusion
Software Engineering is responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

Accountabilities in this role
The incumbent of this role will have a unique opportunity to lead our talented software engineering team to architect, develop, deploy and maintain systems that reduce hospital acquired infections, lower health care costs and save lives. We are currently in the process of implementing the latest technologies: Visual Studio Team Suite, ASP.NET, C#, Team Foundation Server, and SQL Server 2008. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences or related field with 10+ years of experience or equivalent
- Master of Science or Master of Business Administration degree with 8+ years experience preferred
Required knowledge and experience:
- Resource planning and management;
- Budget planning and management;
- Software design, development life cycle, problem analysis, user requirement specification, user interface rapid prototyping and usability evaluation;
- Demonstrated results in software system design and development management;
- Talent recruitment, retention, and talent development;
- Healthcare-related knowledge and experience is a plus.
