MRO Corporation, a leader in the development of an online technology platform in the delivery of release-of-information (ROI) services, has created a new opening for a Manager of Software Quality Assurance. 

This position provides an excellent opportunity for the person who has depth of knowledge in software testing, experience developing testing programs and the ability to provide guidance that will yield improvements in the software development and quality assurance process.  Core responsibilities include:

·          Manage and participate in the testing of MRO’s software, including our website, web services, internal applications, and client applications

·          Gain a deep familiarity with MRO’s software products, in order to facilitate testing and defect identification

·          Develop test plans and procedures for testing MRO’s software

·          Manage the source code check-out and build processes, and make suggestions for process improvement

·          Deploy tested code into production, and assist with configuration and support of deployed software

·          Manage the bug tracking process, and participate in the feature planning process

·          Update release note documentation, and assist with creation of end-user documentation

·          Evaluate and implement automation tools for testing

·          Ability to lead and co-ordinate outside testing teams

Successful applicants will possess the following education and experience

·          Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.

·          5 years of software Q/A experience (may include a mixture of coding and testing)

·          Adept at interacting with others in the software development process

·          At least 1 year of experience implementing an automated testing system a plus

·          Skilled tester of software, with an understanding of the programming

·          Knowledge of how to probe for defects, and recognize subtle errors

·          Ability to work effectively in a small team environment

·          Ability to manage other testers

·          Ability to document terse summaries of recent changes, enhancements and bug fixes in a particular software release
