Manager Team Lead with Fine Art, High-End Property Claims Experience

About the Job

A process-centered / Lean-oriented organization providing software enabled services to an emerging $30B market in the finance and insurance industry. Our focus is appraising the market value of household and business contents for the hundreds of thousands of Property and Casualty Insurance claims each year.

 

The high-end personal property consulting and appraisal division is looking for a leader to manage a Team of field and office based consultants.  We assist high net worth clients with assistance after a disaster such as a fire or flood as well as pre-loss cataloguing and appraisal of their fine collections and other personal property. 

 

Responsibilities: Operations Manager will have responsibility for our internal teams. You will be leading and mentoring your teams to deliver unsurpassed service and process excellence.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day operations of the claims business and ensure  exceptional service to the Insurance Carriers.


Requirements:

  • Experienced, customer focused, leader with customer service management experience and a strong process orientation
  • 5+ year experience in Property Claim Processes and Procedures
  • 5+ years experience high-end property underwriting
  • Outstanding communication skills; articulate in person and in writing
  • Outstanding people and leadership skills to steer our service driven environment
  • Bachelors in Management, Art, Art History, Fashion, Interior Design or related field required
  • Professionalism, team player, detail-oriented and possess strong problem solving skills. 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Insurance claims management experience also desired
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, both local and overnight, sometimes with short notice

Items above are required, items below are a huge PLUS:

  • Inventory & Appraisal Experience a PLUS
  • Fine Arts training, with a BA or MA in Art History a PLUS.
  • 5+ years experience working around high-end property industry such as Interior Design, Art, or Fashion A PLUS
  • Knowledge of fine arts, antiques, high end furniture, fine textiles and rugs, and designer or couture clothing A PLUS
  • Connoisseur & Appraisal Studies a PLUS
