This successful candidate for this position will function as part of a team of experienced individuals to develop satellite communications terminals in our Atlanta, GA office. We are looking for a Test and Evaluation manager that will positively affect our solutions to provide highest quality products for our customers. Candidates will be responsible for the management and execution of our Test and Evaluation Program that is chartered to provide the highest quality zero-defect solutions for our customers. You will lead a multidisciplinary integrated product team with engineering, production, sub-contractors, and consultants in a focused environment that influences the design for testability for our diverse satellite communications products and systems. Candidates will be responsible for the complete test program including in-process testing, subsystem integration and testing, first article testing, and production testing.
Experience/Skills Required
Candidates must have experience developing and leading the team that influences design or testability and develops the test and evaluation plans, procedures. Candidates will be responsible for oversight and coordination of all tests, test reports and test results. Travel domestically to oversee the system sell-off at the final destination sites will be required.
Candidates must have experience in managing a SATCOM test program, preferably multi-system deployment. The ideal candidate has a broad background in all SATCOM certification processes. Candidates must be able to assemble, motivate, and direct a team of various disciplines and personnel to successfully meet our customer's requirement.
This position requires a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering with at least of 10 years of test and evaluation experience with SATCOM programs. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in managing test and evaluation teams through design, integration, acceptance testing and customer sell-off.
Demonstrated experience integrating, testing and selling off to US DOD SATCOM terminals is plus. Candidates must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of writing Test Plans and Procedures and performing field tests. Experience with Information Assurance (IA) and DISA testing is a plus. Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are essential.

The ViaSat Atlanta facility is located in the northeastern suburb of Duluth. Having recently relocated to a new purpose-built campus, this office supports the dramatically growing Antenna Systems Group with engineering, program management, business development, manufacturing, and product support.
