Manager of Business Development

About the Job

Business Development Manager in support of the DLJ US business within TCI.  Assist DLJ US in identifying and developing capture strategies in pursuit of new C4ISR business opportunites within the US with particular focus on US Army and US Marine Corps requirements, leveraging discriminating products and technologies within the Thales Land and Joint Division portfolio. 

Serves as the Business Development manager for Division Land and Joint US, reporting to Dir., Business Development, DLJ US.  Responsible for assisting in the identification of US market opportunities in the areas of Communications, Command and Control, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillence, and Reconnaisence (C4ISR) technology domains, and finding solutions within the Thales Land and Joint Division portfolio of capabilities for import into US market requirements.  Responsible for setting bookings objectives within the business area and developing the tactics and strategies to meet these targets with a minimum of oversight.  Will act as the primary focal point regarding market and competitive analysis for the C4ISR business area.  Supports development of the multi-year strategic plan.  Identifies strategic opportunities for new and aligned market penetration including teaming opportunities and strategies. 

Bachelor's Degree.  Technical degree preferred. Master's Degree desired. 10 years or greater experience within the DOD and the C4ISR technology domain.  Experience in doing business with the US Army / USMC preferred.  Prior experience in an aligned business area or similar company highly desired. Experience and prior demonstrated success in Business Development, with a good working knowledge of the DOD organization, program requirements, and acquisition policies, with particular focus on US Army and US Marine Corpse accounts required.  The ideal candidate will be highly energetic and able to work well both independently and within small groups, both internal and external to the organization. The job duties will include preparation and execution of multi-year orders forecasts, review of opportunities with senior level staff members, and leadership of capture teams for current TCI product offerings and related derivations.  Overseas travel will be required. An Active security clearance or one held within the last two years is required.
