Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Public Records, the Manager, Database Quality, oversees the design and implementation of processes for compilation and analysis of data from various sources. Additionally, the Manager, Database Quality, scopes and implements protocols and metrics to ensure that outgoing data is accurate and compliant. The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, proven ability to work under constant deadlines, and successful influencing skills. The nature of the work requires building teams cross-functionally, both laterally and at varying levels. The successful candidate will have experience in Consumer Reporting practices, specifically with public record data. The successful candidate will also have experience as a manager who has driven measurable improvements in the performance of individuals and groups reporting to her/him.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set standards and expectations for data source quality
  • Contribute to product specifications that meet customer needs within efficient service delivery parameters
  • Resolve inquiries regarding database content and/or process
  • Compile and review audit reports and enhance data as appropriate
  • Review daily reports to validate reporting standards
  • Research and analyze data issues to mitigate risk
  • Educate internal/external clients on data reporting standards
  • Create and lead cross-functional teams to improve data reporting standards and procedures
  • Communicate issues and resolutions to management and internal teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and promotion of data quality using existing and future product specifications as well as interpersonal influence
  • Perform and monitor ongoing data loading and quality/data checks and generate standard and customized queries and reports to ensure accuracy 
  • Establish a high-performance database team through the use of
          repeatable processes, appropriate measures, and well-defined standards

  • Work cross functionally within the organization (development, compliance, product and operations) to influence and develop new system implementations, application design, data models, performance optimization, and service continuity plans
  • Promote and practice collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries with management, staff, and data providers

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in IT, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • 3 – 5 years related experience and/or training
  • Experience working with databases and/or data warehouses
  • Knowledge of the following software, (MS Office/SQL/Access)
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • B2B experience preferred
  • Prior Quality experience preferred
