We are currently seeking an experienced Manager of Design to join the Dunkin' Donuts Construction Services team!  The purpose of this position is to lead the building design and concept innovation for Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants within the United States.  As part of the Construction Services team, the Concept and Design group educates and provides guidance to the field Construction organization on Dunkin' Donuts design standards and concept portfolio.

This position is at our corporate offices in Canton, Massachusetts.



The primary accountabilities for this position include:

·         Lead the Design and Innovation for all components of the Dunkin’ Donuts concept within all building types from Carts/Kiosks to Traditional Buildings.

·         Lead the Value Engineering Initiative to lower costs for new restaurants and remodels.  Accountable for tracking of all progress made and future cost savings.

·         Develop and Maintain prototypical store design layouts and specifications.

·         Manage the Prototypical Specifications library and all Design Releases to the Field Teams.

·         Manage test projects with the Field Construction, Operations and Marketing Teams.

·         Train and support the Development Team and others upon initial rollout of new concepts.

·         Lead and Manage the Green Sustainability Initiative

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Bachelors Degree in architecture or related design curriculum.

·         Minimum 10 years experience in the field of design and architecture, with an emphasis on food service.

·         Demonstrated experience leading a team toward successful attainment of functional goals.

·         Strong presentation and communication skills.

 

 



·         Most of the time is spent in the office where it is necessary to communicate effectively in a semi-private environment using phones, voicemail, faxes and e-mail.

·         Frequent and regular computer work on a daily basis, minimum of 4 hours daily

·         2-3 trips/month requiring either airplane and/or car travel including overnight stays.

·         Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time in a restaurant to perform analysis.

·         Driving within a 100 mile radius through congested traffic.

·         Work in restaurants to evaluate tests at appropriate time of day and day of week
