The Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides diagnostic services, including the pathological evaluation of all biopsy material, autopsies, and full array of clinical laboratory services, including collection techniques such as phlebotomy, sweat chloride collection and culture collection.
Our methodologies are oriented to children's needs. Core clinical laboratories include hematology, coagulation, chemistry, diagnostic infectious disease testing, inborn errors of metabolism and phlebotomy/processing. We use state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation.
The Manager of Laboratory Information Systems will be responsible for leading, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and improving functions of all information technology and associated workflow related to laboratory operations. This involves all associated functions within the Clinical Labs, as well as relationships across the Medical Center, as well as the community.
Required education/experience/skills/background:
Bachelors Degree required.
Minimum 5 year experience in a hospital setting with a focus on information technology, preferably related to clinical laboratories.
Must be able to manage people, prioritize tasks, and possess project management skills to develop, plan and track projects.
Preferred education/experience/skills/background:
Masters degree preferred.
Experience with Cerner and/or Epic highly desirable.
