Manager of Operations

 

Brink's U.S., a division of Brink's, Incorporated, is the premiere provider of armored car transportation, ATM servicing, currency and coin processing, document destruction and other value added services to financial institutions, retailers and other commercial and government entities. The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employee. We have a challenging opportunity for an Operations Manager. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility to organize and develop procedure and standard for each department in the branch and to continue to operate at the highest levels of efficiency. This person will coordinate and supervise the operation efficiently, while maintaining positive customer and employee relations. The Operations Manager assumes complete management responsibility for branch operations in the balance of the Branch Manager.

 

Specific Job Duties:

·              Maintain a safe and secure environment with the goal of ensuring that all employees work and return home safely

·              Hire, schedule, train and develop staff

·              Create a cooperative team atmosphere of employee engagement

·              Ensure route efficiency through appropriate interaction with branch personnel and route analysis

·              Maintain and provide quality customer service and good communications with the customer base

·              Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and efficiency

·              Secure inventories by executing controls and ensuring strict compliance with security procedures

·              Assist the Branch Manager in controlling the daily operations and maintaining profitability of the branch.  May act on operational issues on behalf of the Branch Manager in the Branch Manager’s absence.

·              Direct supervisors within the department in all aspects of the operations and intercede when necessary.

·              Interview and hire truck personnel and maintain proper hiring procedures.

·              Ensure the training of new and existing employees including truck and administrative staff by the use of training films, formal classroom and on-the-job training.

·              Assist in providing quotes and service times and ensure maintenance of good customer service.

·              Monitor branch and truck security, handling street inspections, enforcing vault procedures and firearms training and procedure.

·              Assist with month-end reports.

·              Assist with human resources matters and ensure good employee relations.

·              Other projects as assigned.

 

Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include:

·              Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

·              Minimum of 3-5 years operations management or supervisory experience; 5+ years supervisory experience preferred

·              Comprehensive knowledge of secure logistics, coin and/or currency processing operations

·              Knowledge of armored car, fleet, vault, ATM, security and safety procedures

·              Excellent customer service and relations skills

·              Good comprehension of finance and budgeting

·              Good general employee relations and Human Resource management skills

·              Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task

·              Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·              Excellent employee relations skills with a team player orientation

·              Excellent staff development, leadership, and decision-making skills

·              Must be willing to work in an armed environment and able to qualify for a firearm permit

·              Solid work history and credit record

·              Strong ethics and integrity
