Our Healthcare Practice has an excellent opportunity for a Managing Director/Director with diabetes experience. This position is responsible for pursuing, developing and leading new business efforts; managing and cultivating staff members; and must be able to make significant contributions to client communications initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
' Develop and grow senior level Client relationships.
' Develop and pitch new business opportunities for Burson-Marsteller.
' Counsel and build relationships with peers in industry and with other Y&R Lines of Business.
' Maintain and grow existing Client business.
' Provide counsel, strategy and direction of accounts.
' Productively provide ideas to Client to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues.
' Manage profitability and financial aspects of accounts.
' Manage and develop account staff.
' Develop original research, surveys, and market studies for existing and new business proposals.
' Develop complete communications plans for Client.
' Maintain industry contacts to keep informed on what's going on in the market/industry.
Ideal Candidate:
A Managing Director or strong Director with 10 + years PR management experience for its Healthcare Practice. Must be considered proficient in healthcare and an expert in media relations, from key trade publications, to national outlets. Solid strategist, superior writer and a good people manager with proven track record of managing large accounts. Agency background is strongly preferred, constituency relations/ allied development experience highly desired. Self-starter with ability to manage multimillion dollar project on public awareness campaign. Health policy experience desired.
