Managing Supervisor or Vice President, Marketing Communications

Overview:

We have an immediate opportunity for a versatile communications manager with integrated marketing experience to join our team at FH’s global headquarters in St. Louis. Our marketing clients include leaders in telecommunications, automotive, apparel, food retail, packaged goods and family entertainment. The programs we create for them include media relations, social media, Web hubs, event marketing, sports marketing and integrated word of mouth campaigns.

Responsibilities:

The FH marketing communications practice adds value by bridging the gap between marcom and brand management and creating cohesive programs that drive sales and clarify positioning. The successful candidate will parachute into exciting accounts and work with hybrid PR-digital teams to "up the value" for existing clients, as well as help drive new business. Daily activities for this position include crafting strategic and integrated public relations plans; partnering with senior team members on campaign development, product marketing/branding and positioning; and leading teams that implement these campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Recent and deep experience in creating and building programs that support consumer brands/products across a broad range of categories
• Understands how to develop and implement programs that support and deliver measureable results
• Strong integrated marketing and consumer media relations skills and a track record in establishing relationships across business, trade, and consumer media of all kinds
• Extensive command of social media networks and ability to develop and implement social media plans
• Ability to develop and edit persuasive materials, including public relations plans, bylined articles, collateral materials, media materials and speaking abstracts
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a public relations practitioner, preferably in an agency environment
• Results-focused approach and commitment to go the extra mile for clients
• Excellent verbal communications skills and experience in public speaking and presentations
• Executive presence and experience in providing communications counsel to senior executives and brand managers
• Attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Adept at developing and managing budgets and timelines
• Able to form, lead and motivate teams that create and deliver successful national communications programs
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or related field required.
