This opportunity is located in Versailles, KY which is just minutes from Lexington. Our facility employs approximately 340 non-union team members and operates 24/7. We supply Japanese name plate auto makers such as Toyota, Honda, and Subaru. Our business remains stable in this economy due to our strong customer relationships, excellent glass we produce and our well-performing employees.
Job Title: Manufacturing Coordinator (2)
Reports To: Manufacturing Group Leader
Location: Versailles, KY
Department: Manufacturing
Employee Supervised: Supervises activities of approximately 20-25 hourly team members
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure production runs smoothly for optimum yield, downtime, and through-put to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
- Facilitate good team work within the department with the ability to lead problem solving with a team based approach.
- Manage team members according to policy while maintaining a positive work environment. Facilitate/coordinate team member training and development.
- Ensure safety and OSHA regulations are enforced and that housekeeping standards (5S) are at the highest level.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds internal and external customer standards for Total Customer Satisfaction.
- Positions will be on nights, 12-hour shifts, requiring some weekends.
- Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and it’s Values and Principles
Qualifications Required:
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills is a must.
Qualifications Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent background
- 3-5 years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
